After nearly five years of working for the John Ball Zoo and ultimately becoming the Supervisor of Guest Programs (and spending one year as a phlebotomist after that!), California-native Mo has decided to embark on the next step of her journey and join the medical side of animal care. While much of her professional experience is in exotic animal care and education, she is no stranger to dogs or cats! Mo is a proud mom to an energetic American Eskimo mix named Willow, an elderly Miniature Pinscher rescue named Ernie, and a sassy ball python named Sassafras. You may see her walking around downtown Grand Rapids with her girlfriend Em — please say hi if you do!

Mo is so excited to be working for an AAHA-accredited and certified Cat-Friendly Practice and to use her previous experience with education and exotic animal care to perform her role as your pet’s Exam Room Nurse. Through her passion for animal care and commitment to diversity within Kent County, Mo strives to make a positive difference in both the lives of pets and their families.
