Kelsey is a 2017 graduate of the Baker College Veterinary Technology program. After completing her internships here and at the John Ball Zoo, she continued to volunteer as an anesthetist at the zoo for one year. Her love for volunteering has taken her to Nicaragua with World Vets, and to the Cheyenne River Sioux Reservation in South Dakota with Rural Area Vets, providing routine and emergency surgical care to underserved pet populations while guiding veterinary students through anesthetic procedures. Kelsey has recently become certified as a Feline Friendly Veterinary Processional by the American Association of Feline Practitioners. She and her husband have six cats: Prowler, Sam, Popsicles, Lou, Beelzebub, and Jitters. They also have a bearded dragon named Bruce Willis. In her spare time, Kelsey enjoys running, spending time outdoors, and cooking.
