Pet care

Lora

Lora is the Pet Care manager, and is she unique! Not only is she excellent at Dutch oven cooking over an open fire, but she also participates in several national historical events dressed as a demonstrator/educator. Lora has a Border Collie named Atlantis and an Australian Shepherd named Sterling and three cats named Jasper, Misty and Mingy.

As she juggles all of her interests (did we also mention that she does Tai Chi, creates historically accurate clothing, gardens, bakes, reads, does interior design and genealogy?) she wishes to visit Scotland in the near future.

Tara

She doesn't live in Bedrock, but she does have a dog named Wilma. Of course, we're talking about Tara. Wilma's a Pit Bull who she adopted from the Humane Society in Florida where she used to work. Her work and special way with Pit Bulls even earned her the name "Pit Bull Whisperer" wither her friends and family. Besides whispering to her furry friend, Tara likes to work out, Tae-bo style, and she loves the outdoors; taking hikes, and playing sports. She loves spending time with her boyfriend and her dog when not venturing the wilderness.

Morgan

Morgan is from northern Michigan and attended Michigan Tech for a year before transferring to Grand Valley for their Pre-Vet/Biology program. She has volunteered at the Humane Society and has worked for the Fish and Wildlife service for two summers since her high school graduation in 2006. Morgan is married and loves to spend time with her husband. She has her own mini zoo at home including a pit bull pup named Brenna, a cat named Rusty, and also two tarantulas named Eliza and Lily.

When she isn't loving on all of the animals here at AMC, you can find her spending time with her animals, playing sports, keeping in shape, and hanging out with family and friends!

Elise

Ever since she can remember, Elise has always loved to be around pets. Growing up, she worked with her aunt who is a veterinarian. She also worked at a vet clinic during high school and an animal emergency hospital while she got her bachelors degree at Western Michigan University.

Elise recently completed one year of law school, where she received several awards for academic achievement. Despite her success, she realized that she missed working with pets and decided to return to the veterinary field.

Elise loves spending time with her cat, Stuart, and her boyfriend, Steve. She likes to play video games, hike, listen to music, decorate, garden, read, and jog. She looks forward to a having a great career involving animals.
