Dr. Leven

A native of Grand Rapids, Dr. Marc Leven attended Michigan State University and the Hebrew University of Jerusalem where he received his BS degree with honors. Following his undergraduate studies, he received his doctorate from MSU in 1979. As owner and general practitioner, Dr. Leven has a special interest in dermatology, internal medicine and endocrinology. His wife, Peggy, is one of the practice managers here at AMC. They also have three children, all of which work at AMC. At home, Dr. Leven has a German Shorthaired Pointer named Obie and one cat named Cupertino (cleverly named after the city where his son's favorite company is headquartered). In his leisure time, Dr. Leven can be found on the golf course, dog park, or traveling.

Dr. Vincent

Dr. Vincent is a native of west Michigan. She lived in east Texas for 25 years, where she attended Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine. She is married as has two children: son Maynard and daughter Lilith. Dr. Vincent loves to quilt in the spare time. She also enjoys the two new additions to her family; Millie is a shih tzu mix and Mouse is a Chinese crested mix. Dr. Vincent has a special interest and area of focus in exotic animals and spends time treating a variety of wildlife at Blandford Nature Center. Dr Vincent also teaches part time at Baker College of Muskegon in the Veterinary Technician program.

Dr. Dykhouse

Dr. Dykhouse is a native of New Jersey, but attended Calvin College in Grand Rapids and later the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine. He is married and has two daughters. His yellow Lab Franklin is a supervisor of doggie daycare at the AMC (or at least Franklin thinks he is!). He also has two cats named Scrapper and Scooby, and keeps a saltwater/reef tank. Dr. Dykhouse's hobbies include gadgets and technology, bicycling and especially photography. He enjoys taking nature and scenic photos, not to mention all the photos of his daughter's and pets' hilarious antics. He rode his bicycle around the southern coast of Australia, across Iowa and across Wisconsin, swam in a coral reef, and spent time in the rainforest in Belize. Dr. Dykhouse enjoys soft tissue and orthopedic surgery, dentistry, and counseling new pet owners. He is also an officer of the West Michigan Academy of Small Animal Practitioners.

Dr. Carron

Originally from Eastern Michigan, Dr. Carron moved to the sunset coast after attending veterinary school at Michigan State University. She is big MSU fan, but shares her home with a U of M loving husband. (They do say love is blind!) They have three four-legged family members: Nova, a mixed breed found as a stray, Holly, a hound from the local humane society and Wesley, a talkative Siamese mix. They enjoy spending time in and around the Grand Rapids Area.

Dr. Carron spends her free time enjoying the arts, traveling, kayaking, reading, cooking, baking and cake decorating. She also volunteers as an adult leader with her church's high school group where she helps lead music and contributes to the general chaos.

Dr. Carron is interested in animal behavior, internal medicine, organized veterinary medicine, education and the human/animal bond.

Dr. Schauberger

Dr. Schauberger, originally of Holland, MI, graduated from Iowa State University and then went on to attend Michigan State University's College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Schauberger enjoys running, biking (both tandeming with her husband and on her single), camping, hiking, traveling, cross-country skiing, swimming, and playing piano.

Dr. Schauberger has traveled to Mexico, Honduras, Spain, England, Austria, the Netherlands and South Korea. In Honduras, she was part of a group helping the locals with basic animal husbandry and healthcare and in Mexico, she helped out at one of the few humane societies down there.

She and her husband have two greyhounds, Salute and Diva, two cats, Nutmeg and Basil, and a leopard gecko,7-Up, and two goldfish.
